(Ft. Wayne, IN) -- An Indiana man is believed to be the first person in the nation to have a deep brain tumor removed with a new procedure. Jason Buhlman says he was told last Spring that traditional surgery to remove his tumor could leave him blind, so he agreed to take part in a first-ever surgical process conducted by Methodist Hospital doctor Aaron Cohen-Gadol.

Buhlman says he has so far been given a clean bill of health and has not experienced vision issues caused by the surgery.
