(Rockville, CT) -- The manslaughter trial of former Department of Children and Families worker Suzanne Listro is underway. The 44-year-old Mansfield resident is charged in connection with the death of seven-month-old Michael Brown Jr. in her home in May of 2008. State Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Wayne Carver testified Monday that the child's injuries could not have been caused by a fall from a bed as Listro claims. He believes the injuries were consistent with the child being shaken. Under cross examination, Carver testified that he could not say for sure what caused the baby's death. The trial is continuing today.
