(Los Angeles, CA) -- A man charged with stalking "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest pleaded no contest Tuesday to felony stalking in a Los Angeles courtroom and was sent to prison for a 90-day psychiatric evaluation. Twenty-five-year-old Chidi Uzomah Jr. was ordered in September to stay away from Seacrest after pleading guilty to attacking Seacrest's security guard outside an Orange County hospital. He appeared at radio station KISS-FM in Burbank, California October 2, 2009 looking for Seacrest. He was then arrested outside the E! building on Wilshire Boulevard on October 30, 2009 where Seacrest tapes a daily TV show.
In exchange for his plea to stalking Seacrest between September 15th and October 30th, two misdemeanor counts of attempted disobeying of a court order on October 2nd and October 30th will be dismissed when he is sentenced. Uzomah returns for sentencing June 14th where he could get up to two years in prison.
