A country music baby boom is under way. Rascal Flatts' Joe Don Rooney is the latest star to be adding to his family. The singer-guitarist tells "People" his second child is on the way, so he and his wife Tiffany Fallon are, quote, "a little more prepared but the same excitement is there." He adds, quote, "There's such fulfillment in being a father and it's going to be two-fold now, which is so cool." Rooney says he learned about their impending arrival several weeks ago -- at the same hotel where Tiffany broke the news to him about their first child. He recalls his response, noting, quote, "I was like 'Wow! We're going to have to stop coming to this hotel. We'll have 16 of these things before long!' But life just couldn't get better." Rooney adds that they definitely want to know the baby's gender in advance, because, quote, "Tiff's all about decorating rooms, so she's got to know. She's got to prepare the nest." The couple has a 21-month-old son, Jagger, and Rooney says Tiffany believes she's carrying another boy. He disagrees, and thinks a daughter is on the way.
Rooney is the latest country star to see his family expand this year. John Rich and his wife welcomed their first child in January, while Justin Moore's daughter arrived last month. Just last week Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook celebrated the birth of their first child. The wives of James Otto and Luke Bryan are both due in August. Rooney and Fallon's little one is expected in September.
