(Indianapolis, IN) -- A Greenfield man faces charges for allegedly convincing people to rent homes being sold by the federal government. Richard Swoveland faces charges for allegedly advertising homes for rent, taking deposits and rent before disappearing. Shiela Newton was one of Swoveland's alleged victims.

Investigators say Swoveland used popular web sites to advertise the homes for rent. He faces charges in Marion and Hamilton County.
