(Minneapolis, MN) -- Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams denied ever using steroids to trying to mask performance-enhancing drugs in his seven-year NFL career Tuesday when he testified in the trial against the league. Williams said he never would have taken StarCaps to lose weight days before the 2008 training camp if he knew the diuretic contained a banned substance. Williams testified his family learned the NFL planned to suspend him when Fox Sports reporter Jay Glazer broke the story during the Vikings' bye week in late October 2008. Kevin and Pat Williams are attempting to prove the league violated Minnesota drug-testing laws by suspending the for four games in December 2008. Kevin Williams will resume testifying this morning, while his teammate Pat Williams, no relation, will take the stand following his linemate.
