Corey Feldman Sheds Tears For Fallen Friend Corey Haim

(Undated) -- Corey Feldman is speaking out on the "tragic loss" of his best friend, fellow actor Corey Haim. In a statement, posted on his blog, the "Stand By Me" actor urged people to learn a lesson from Haim's death. Feldman wrote, quote, "My eyes weren't even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face. We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference." Feldman concludes by saying, "I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived."

Known as "the two Coreys" at the height of their popularity in the 1980s, Feldman and Haim were inseparable on and off screen. In addition to their constant presence on the Hollywood party scene, the movie heartthrobs appeared in several films together, including "The Lost Boys," "License to Drive" and "Dream a Little Dream." After some estrangement, the two teamed up again in 2007 to star in the A&E reality series "The Two Coreys."

Corey Haim was found dead in his mother's Hollywood home on Wednesday. Initial reports suggested the Canadian-born actor died of a drug overdose. Toxicology reports are still pending. Corey Haim was 38.
