Obama Continues Big Healthcare Reform Pitch

(St. Louis, MO) -- For the second time this week, President Obama hit the road to pitch healthcare reform. At a campaign-style rally in St. Louis, Obama put healthcare atop a long list of things that need to be reformed.

The President said average Americans are "being pummeled" by soaring healthcare premiums. He argued that healthcare reform would end abuses by health insurance companies and would hold them accountable. Obama accused opponents of fueling a long campaign of misinformation about healthcare reform. Obama also accused Republicans of doing nothing about the healthcare crisis when they were in control of Congress and the White House. The Obama administration has initiated a full-court press to secure final passage of health insurance reform legislation in Congress.
