(Mexico City) -- The Mexican beach report of Acapulco turned into a scene of carnage with 13 people killed in apparent drug related incidents. Police say four of the victims were beheaded. Among those who were killed were five police officers. Their nighttime patrol was attacked by gunmen on the outskirts of Acapulco. In different areas around the resort city, the bodies of eight men were found who had been shot to death. In recent years, rival drug gangs had carried out turf wars over Acapulco. Last June, a shootout in the city related to drug gang activity of one-million people left at least 18 people dead in drug gang activity.
