Rush Documentary To Debut At Tribeca Fest

A documentary about Rush is getting the red carpet treatment. New York's Tribeca Film Festival has announced that "Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage" is part of its roster of films. The rock-doc is slated for a May 15th world premiere at the New York festival that was co-founded by Robert DeNiro. "Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage" is the first-ever documentary about Rush, the rockers who got their start in Toronto during the late 1960s. Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn are behind the 106-minute feature. The filmmaking duo also co-directed "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey" in 2005. That film was followed by 2008's "Global Metal," which took a look at the globalization of heavy metal and the impact that different cultures are leaving on the genre.
