Percy Sledge and The Blind Boys of Alabama are among the musical acts set to enter the Alabama Music Hall of Fame at the end of the month. According to the Hall's official website, the music hall will make inductions at a ceremony in Montgomery at the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center on March 25th. The annual gala was created to fete Alabama's music heritage. Inductions over the years have included artists from all genres. In addition to Sledge and The Blind Boys, the Music Hall will honor other musicians with ties to the state. O'Jays frontman Eddie Levert, country star Mac Davis, ARS, country singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson, singer-songwriter Mac McAnally, and Bobby Denton will also be honored this year.
As part of the artists' inductions, they will each receive a bronze star on the Alabama Music Hall's Walk of Fame. Information and exhibits about their accomplishments will also go on display in The Music Hall of Fame itself.
