(Baghdad) -- At least eight people were killed in two bomb attacks south of Baghdad today. The blasts occurred about five minutes apart. Eleven more people were wounded in the attacks. Iraqi police say the attackers apparently attached sticky bombs to two cars in a town about 40 miles south of the capital.
Meanwhile, at least three militants are said to have been killed in a suspected U.S. drone attack in Pakistan. Witnesses in the area said the attack targeted a militant compound in the North Waziristan region.
