House Dems Ponder End-Game Strategy On Healthcare

(Washington, DC) -- House Democrats are pondering an endgame strategy for healthcare reform. Final votes on the legislation could occur in the House by week's end. Speaker Nancy Pelosi is considering a parliamentary maneuver that would "deem" the healthcare bill "passed" without an actual vote. However, that is not something normally used for a bill as massive as the roughly 875-billion-dollar healthcare measure. Republicans are accusing Democrats of trying to ram the legislation through with parliamentary tricks.
