Darryl Worley Pleased With Progress Of Cancer Treatment Center
The Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center is coming together very quickly, and the singer behind the project is thrilled with the swift progress. Darryl Worley admits he initially thought it could take decades to line up the funding and complete construction, but now the facility is expected to open before the end of next year.
Worley is helping to finance the Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center through the Darryl Worley Foundation. The country star supports his foundation in part with fundraising activities such as his annual Tennessee River Run, which is coming up this fall. The three-day event includes concerts, a golf tournament, a kids fishing tournament, a five-K walk and run, and a "Motorcycle Poker Run." The Marshall Tucker Band and Danny Gokey will be joining Worley in performing at the event. Worley's 9th annual Tennessee River Run is set for September 16th through the 18th, with activities taking place at various venues near Worley's hometown of Savannah, Tennessee.
