(New York, NY) -- President Obama talked about jobs, the economy and the war in Afghanistan during an appearance on ABC's "The View" this morning. Obama began on a light-hearted note when he joked that he was "trying to find a show that Michelle actually watched."
However, the discussion quickly turned somber when he acknowledged that the country's gone through a "tough stretch" since he was elected. The President cited high unemployment, the oil spill and two wars among other issues. When Barbara Walters pressed Obama about the most difficult part of his job, he responded by saying the toughest thing he's had to do is sign letters to parents for soldiers killed in battle.
