Evidence Links Soldier To Afghan War Leaks

(Washington, DC) -- Military investigators reportedly have found solid evidence linking a soldier with the leak of thousands of classified documents on the war in Afghanistan. "The Wall Street Journal" cited defense officials as saying a search of computers used by Army Private First Class Bradley Manning revealed that he had downloaded the secret material. The 22-year-old junior intelligence analyst is currently being detained at a U.S. military base in Kuwait. The "Journal" says investigators are now looking at who may have helped Manning provide the documents to the Internet whistleblower WikiLeaks. He already faces charges in connection with the leak of 2007 helicopter gunship video from Iraq.
