PETA Seeking Criminal Charges In Whale Trainer's Death

(Orlando, FL) -- PETA wants criminal charges to be filed in the case of the whale trainer who was attacked and killed on the job earlier this year. The animal rights group sent a letter to Attorney General Bill McCollum asking that manslaughter charges be filed against SeaWorld management in the death of Dawn Brancheau. Brancheau was attacked by a killer whale named Tillikum. PETA says that SeaWorld management knew the whale had been involved in the deaths of two other people and knowingly put its trainers at risk. So far the theme park and the AG have not responded to the letter.
