Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton Getting Married Saturday

(New York, NY) -- Wedding bells will ring for former first daughter Chelsea Clinton on Saturday evening. While the event has been cloaked in secrecy, Chelsea's marriage to investment banker Marc Mezvinsky reportedly is taking place at Astor Courts, the former estate of millionaire John Jacob Astor the Fourth in Rhinebeck, New York. The cost of the couple's lavish nuptials is estimated to be between three and five-million dollars. Chelsea reportedly will wear a custom-made bridal gown designed by Vera Wang.
The Federal Aviation Administration is enforcing a no-fly zone over the quaint town of Rhinebeck for the occasion, which will be attended by 500 guests. Chelsea's parents, former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, apparently had a challenge keeping the guest list to that number. Among the celebrities expected to attend Chelsea's wedding are Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg and Barbra Streisand.
Americans first became acquainted with Chelsea when she was a gawky 12-year-old and the Clintons moved into the White House in 1993. She met her fiance, whose parents are former members of Congress, when they were teens in Washington, DC. Both Chelsea and Marc Mezvinsky attended Stanford University, where the former first daughter earned a degree in history. She also has a master's degree in international relations from the University of Oxford in Britain. Chelsea works for a hedge fund in New York City.
